Christina owns and runs a small business in Tasmania called FIMBY (Food In My Back Yard) which provides advice and hands on help for people wanting to grow their own food. Interspersed with that she does consulting work with Renewable Energy developers around Australia and SouthEast Asia, in environmental management and community engagement. Christina and her partner are also spending any spare weekends planting trees, nuts, berries, vegetables, herbs, windbreaks and vines, and building fences, at their farm and forest at Bream Creek, southeast of Hobart.
Christina began studying Taketina with Reinhard Flatischler in 2005, completing the three year Basic level teacher training held near Portland, Oregon. She completed her Advanced training with Reinhard in Berkeley, California, in 2011. She runs regular public Taketina workshops in and around Hobart, Tasmania, with other certified teachers, and regularly travels interstate to work with and support other teachers.
